Ros, a pioneer in coburg-region
Since September 2015 the German environmental aid has been committed to the project "Be a cup hero – multi-way cup to go", which is now also available in Coburg. The City of Coburg decided to promote the reduction of disposable cups on city council application and tried to show possible alternatives - for example a reusable cup. These cups can be already found in some coffee houses, recognizable by the "cup hero motive" at the entrance, in the city.
Ros was also aware of this importance of this issue and decided to implement the initiative to reduce disposable cups internally. In August 2017, a uniform porcelain cup with protective cover in the Ros design was purchased and handed out to each employee. This cup is used with immediate effect for any hot drink within the working environment. "The use of the cups also has protective reasons. By the use of this no dirt or dangerous particles which are occurring while production can’t enter the cup "- explains Steffen Tetzlaff, CEO of Ros GmbH & Co. KG.
With this initiative, Ros is one of the pioneers of the campaign "Be a cup-hero!" in Coburg territory. The reduction of highly recyclable disposable cups minimizes waste incineration and protects nature in the long term. With Ros, the consumption of disposable cups inhouse could be reduced by 94.78% in just a few months.
