Ros' Trainees at Burg Fürsteneck
Also this year the trainees in the second year of ROS took part in a training in Eiterfeld at Burg Fürsteneck from 14th until 18th of may. The theme of the seminar was life and work in society. In addition to the company ROS, the seminar group also consisted of the four other companies. The main objective of the seminar was giving trainees the key competences of a presentation.
The five days were ushered in with a short introductory round in which each participant should introduce himself and organizational matters were clarified. Afterwards presentation techniques were demonstrated by an example. We were then able to apply these newly learned techniques during the presentation about our company. The first day ended with a game night together, where we had to prove our ability to work in a team. The next day, we collected topics for the classification of the project groups. The trainees of the company ROS worked on the topics "World Heritage, E-Mobility and Industry 4.0". Furthermore, the companies had an evening to talk about internal matters concerning education.
On Wednesday afternoon, the apprentices visited the Radom (also called "antenna dome"), which is located on the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön. Here they had a one-hour guided tour, most of which ended with a ride on the nearby toboggan run. On the penultimate day of the seminar, it was time for the groups working on the project to really work on it, to finish it by tomorrow and prepare for it. This day was ended with a leisurely get-together during a barbecue organized by the castle staff for the young adults. On Friday, the elaborated presentations were presented to the other participants and the invited guests from the companies and then began the journey home towards home. The trainees left Burg Fürsteneck with new insights into presentation methods, a strengthened sense of us and a lot of unforgettable memories of an exciting and eventful week.
